We were tasked with a complex tree removal involving a large tree affected by two serious fungal conditions: Laetiporus sulphureus, which compromises root stability, and Ganoderma applanatum, which weakens the heartwood. Both fungi significantly increased the risk of tree failure, posing a danger to nearby structures.
Given the tree’s proximity to a garage and the size of the timber, we used a crane to lift large sections safely over the building and lower them onto a level working area. This approach ensured the safety of both the property and our team, while allowing us to efficiently process the timber: smaller branches were chipped on site, and larger sections were transported with a tractor.
